Artisan Coffee Co. was founded in 2019 by an unlikely trio: a serial entrepreneur, a Q grader - the coffee world's equivalent of a Master of Wine - and a coffee research scientist. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just a shared obsession with making coffee that actually tastes the way it should.
We started where most brands don't - with flavour. And we've never stopped.
The chef who changed everything
After a year of research and tasting, we found an unexpected collaborator: Ashley Palmer-Watts - Michelin-starred chef and former Head of Culinary Development at Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck. Inspired by the great champagne houses, he helped us ask a different question: what if you blended for flavour? The result is a range of characterful blends genuinely unlike anything else on the market.
What makes us different?
Most coffee brands start with an origin story. We start with the cup.
- Q-graded expertise - our blends are created and refined by internationally certified Q graders, the coffee world's equivalent of a Master of Wine.
- Aromax50 aroma protection - our proprietary process locks in twice the natural aroma, sealed fresh from roast to your kitchen.
- Chef-directed flavour - Ashley Palmer-Watts directs the flavour development of every blend, bringing fine-dining sensibility to everyday coffee.

Great coffee should have personality. Each of our blends is a character - a distinct flavour profile with its own story, its own mood, its own moment.
