How do you like your coffee in the morning? We like ours replete with aroma, chock-full of character and delivered perfectly pre-portioned in nitro-flushed packaging so that our coffee stays fresher for longer.
Flippancy aside, as is to be expected, we do have some pretty strong opinions on coffee here at ACC HQ. Read on to find out how our team chooses to enjoy their coffee, which blends they are most enamoured by, and whether they are purists or whether they err on the side of a dash of milk or a sprinkle of sugar.
We asked 8 of our resident Artisan Coffee Co. connoisseurs what their favourite coffee is, how they like to take it and why.
1. Emily - Social Media Manager
How do you take your coffee?
When I'd previously bought supermarket coffee I used to be a sugar syrup girl, but now that I use artisan coffee I want to make sure that I can taste all the notes of the character. Therefore, I'm now a splash of oat milk kind of girl! I generally use my French Press to make my coffee, but recently I've been converting more so to coffee bags!

The Smart Cookie. It's so buttery and smooth and is perfect for any time of the day - I could truly never get bored of it!
2. Grant - Co-Founder
How do you take your coffee?
I enjoy four espressos first thing to kick start my day, then a latte in the afternoon when I hit the 4pm slump. Then - and this is my favourite coffee of the day - a Big Shot espresso martini enjoyed with friends come evening.
I never add sugar, but I enjoy the creamy milkiness or a latte or iced latte. Of course, I also love my coffee laced with vodka when rustling up my infamous espresso martini mix.
Favourite Artisan Coffee Co. character?
Different ones for different drinks but I’m currently loving The Genius for my espresso, The Smart Cookie as a latte, and The Big Shot when I need to get back on it with my espresso martini.
3. Harrison - Paid Media Manager
How do you take your coffee?
I like to brew my coffee in my Moka Pot. Something about the process makes it taste better. I add just a splash of oat milk and I'm a happy boy. Best enjoyed looking out the window, watching the world go by.
Favourite Artisan Coffee Co. character?
The Dreamer - I know myself and I know that if I drink coffee past midday, I'll be awake for weeks. I get cravings for coffee all the way into the evening and, as The Dreamer is decaffeinated, it allows me to indulge in these cravings without compromising on taste and without fear of a sleepless night. Unlike a lot of decaf coffees, The Dreamer is full of character.

How do you take your coffee?
I drink mine black - I’ve no need for milk when the coffee tastes as smooth as Artisan’s! I generally use my filter coffee machine to make a big pot to see me through the morning.

How do you take your coffee?
I love a long and strong milky coffee in the morning, but my absolute guilty pleasure on a hot summer day is pouring a shot of Artisan espresso over a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
I make my coffee in a Moka Pot - it whistles at me when my espresso is ready!

The Enigma. It’s like an unexpected first date, when you’ve convinced yourself that you’re not going to enjoy it but then you end up falling in love.

How do you take your coffee?
I’m a purist so I drink all my coffee black, no sugar

I can’t pick a favourite, it's like choosing a favourite child! It all depends on what I feel like in the moment and the brew type I’m going for. Currently, I am using The Genius for cold brew, The Smart Cookie in my espresso machine, The Enigma for filter and, oh, The Smart Cookie in my pod machine.

How do you take your coffee?
I like my coffee as it comes - strong and black. These days I make it in a cafetiere because my trusty old filter coffee machine recently kicked the bucket.

The Big Shot - it’s bold and powerful, yet so unbelievably smooth.
8. Michael - Operations
How do you take your coffee?
I like my coffee black with no sugar, always espresso and preferably a double! I am a pod drinker most days because pod machines make coffee fast - I simply cannot wait for my coffee in the mornings and need it as soon as I wake up! Later in the day or on weekends, when I have a little more time, I’ll go for whole bean coffee which I’ll grind myself and brew more slowly.

The Big Shot because I like the full-bodied flavour and it is perfect on its own.
