Cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and allspice combine to create this very grown-up winter syrup. Gorgeous in an Espresso Martini, delicious added to your morning coffee, fabulous as a sweetener for your cold brew. Get creative with this deliciously indulgent syrup.
Equipment & Ingredients
Makes approx 10 drinks*
100g Muscovado sugar
2 x Strips orange peel
3 x Cloves
2cm Cinnamon stick
8 x Allspice berries
3 x Cardamom pods
*Requires 24 hour infusion
In a sauce pan combine the water and sugar.
Heat to 80 ̊C to dissolve the sugar.
Place, all the spices & orange peel in to a jar or container.
Pour the warm syrup over the spice mix, leave to cool.
Then cover with a lid and place in the fridge for 24 hours.
Pass the syrup through a fine sieve and discard the spice mix, keep in the fridge until required.
